Yacht Harbor Village and Marina is a 76-acre private gated community located on the Intracoastal Waterway and A1A, in Palm Coast, Florida. With over 4,000 linear feet of frontage on the Intracoastal Waterway, Yacht Harbor Village and Marina features one the newest floating dock marinas in northeast Florida. The development includes 88 waterfront condominiums, 205 homesites, and a 7.5 acre, 215 slip floating dock marina and breakwater. With a depth of 7.5 feet, the Marina is designed to dock vessels from 60 feet to 130 feet in length.

The breakwater structure and all of the floating docks were manufactured by Bellingham Marine of Jacksonville, Florida. Bellingham Marine’s floating concrete floating dock systems are legendary in the marine industry and are designed to provide safety, stability, and low maintenance longevity. Shoreline Foundation was contracted by Bellingham Marine to install their floating dock system at the Marina.

The project began by staging, on site, all of the floating dock sections and component assemblies. To form the main piers, a barge held connected dock sections in place and pilings were driven to secure the piers in position. In total, 203 concrete piles, ranging in size from 14, to18 to 24 inches square and in lengths ranging from 45 feet to 60 feet, were installed. Six main T-head piers, (8 foot wide), with lengths of 130 feet, 190 feet, 230 feet, 290 feet, 350 feet, and 360 feet were installed. An additional 86 finger piers, 4 feet in width, were installed to provide dockage for 215 vessels. To protect the Marina from wave energy, a 10 foot wide floating breakwater, measuring 380 feet in length on the north side of the Marina entrance and 70 feet on the south side of the Marina entrance, was also assembled and installed. In addition, the entire perimeter of the marina basin was lined by an 8 foot wide by 2,100 lineal foot floating marginal dock that completed the Marina.

The expert installation of floating dock marinas is yet another service Shoreline Foundation provides through our Marine Division.
