Dr. Von. D. Mizell-Eula Johnson Park Boardwalk & Jetty

This project included the replacement of a 452 LF elevated wooden walkway with a new structure supported by 106 precast concrete piles, wood framing, composite decking, and a new handrail system. The second phase involved the demolition and reconstruction of a 1,000 LF concrete walkway along a storm-damaged rock jetty. The jetty was stabilized with additional stone and grout, followed by the installation of a 10' wide reinforced concrete sidewalk with fishing bump-outs. An FDOT-approved aluminum handrail was installed along both sides, resulting in a cost savings of over $105,000 through value engineering.
