  • James A. Royo - Founding Partner - President
    • With studies in Marine Biology, James, (Tony) has served as President of Shoreline Foundation, Inc., since its inception in 1986. His extensive experience includes finance, workers compensation and liability insurance, project bidding, and bonding. Tony holds certifications in marine construction, structural engineering, general building and pile driving in the counties of Dade, Broward, Monroe, Palm Beach, Collier and Indian River counties in Florida.
  • John R. McGee - Founding Partner - Vice President
    • As a Vice President and founding partner of Shoreline Foundation, Inc., John has earned a reputation of accepting nothing less than excellence in marine and pile driving construction. He has comprehensive expertise in the fields of project management, employee scheduling, subcontractor scheduling, quality control, job safety and equipment maintenance. John has extensive knowledge in all aspects of company management and financial policies.
  • Barry S. Reed - Founding Partner - Vice President
    • Barry serves as a Vice President and founding partner of Shoreline Foundation, Inc. Like his father before him, Barry has lived his entire life in and around marine construction. As a graduate of Union Technical School as a certified welder with a specialty in Millwrights Pile Drivers and Divers, he has complete knowledge of project management, employee scheduling, sub-contractor management, quality control, job safety, and equipment maintenance.
  • Alex Brisk - Project Manager/MIS Director/Estimator
    • Alex is a 1994 graduate of the University of Florida, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. His extensive experience includes consulting services in foundation design, site development, environmental phase audits, and pipe design. Alex possesses comprehensive computer skills that qualify him as a computer technician, network consultant, and database manager, with certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, and Oracle.
  • Kevin Cote - Business Development
    • With a degree in Marine Biology and Environmental Sciences, from Florida State University and Florida International University, Kevin served for over 15 years developing special projects for the Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental Resources Management. Responsible for creating the Miami-Dade Marine Facilities Permit Program, Kevin introduced many pro-active marina management strategies to South Florida. He developed numerous best management practices which have been utilized to update South Florida’s marine facilities. Kevin’s expertise in government affairs provides Shoreline Foundation’s clientele with the ability to resolve complex regulatory and permitting issues.
  • Fred Maxwell - Superintendant
    • With over 25 years of marine construction experience, Fred is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Marine Division. Transforming construction drawings into steel, concrete, and wooden structures requires the daily coordination of 8 construction crews, the scheduling of speciality equipment, and the provision of constant attention to the needs of the client. Over the last 18 years, Fred’s dedication to detail has resulted in the creation of landmark marine facilities throughout South Florida and the Caribbean.
  • Ben Mostkoff - Business Development
    • With a Bachelors of Science Degree in accounting from Boston College, Ben devoted 20 years of his professional career working for Miami-Dade County. Developing and coordinating the Miami-Dade County Artificial Reef Program for 15 years, Ben aggressively pursued public funding for marine habitat enhancement projects, and developed marine habitat designs that were awarded 2 U.S. patents. At the Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department, Ben helped to establish an employee-driven efficiency program that became the model for all other county departments.   • Mark Osburn - Project Manager
    • With an Associates Degree in Construction Management from the Institute of Design and Construction, Mark serves as a Project Manager for Shoreline Foundation, Inc. He has managed numerous construction projects including the tunnel extension at Miami International Airport, bulkhead construction at Bicentennial Park, and the structural and mooring improvements at the Port of Miami. He has extensive experience in estimating both commercial and residential projects, on-site management, scheduling, management of multiple sub-contractors, permitting, change orders, payment requisitions, RFIs, claims and disputes, basic Auto CAD, quality control and job site safety.
  • Matt Sturm - Project Manager
    • Upon graduation in 1998 from Bradley University, Matt utilized his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and has spent the last eight years in the construction industry. Managing projects ranging in value from $500,000 to over $20 million, Matt’s responsibilities included all of the day to day activities of project management, scheduling, budget analysis, and subcontractor buyout. All projects were completed on time, within budget, and performed in close coordination with the owners and project architects. Specializing in Caribbean project management, Matt’s extensive experience proves to be invaluable to Shoreline Foundation’s clientele.
  • Carlos Varela B.S., E.P.E., P.E., G.E.C. - Project Manager
    • With a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Carlos utilized his expertise in Venezuela for over 20 years to manage complex construction, (housing developments and high-rise buildings), oil recovery, natural gas handling, and coal extraction projects. His previous South Florida experience includes managing the dredging of 21 secondary canals as a consultant to Miami-Dade County DERM. Carlos is responsible for managing the reconstruction of nearly one mile of bulkhead at the City of Miami’s Bicentennial Park. His diverse background and extensive construction expertise enable Carlos to manage complex construction projects.
